Chargethebatteryfor24hoursinitially,thenmonthly
(every25starts)orasneeded.Alwaysusethecharger
inashelteredareaandchargethebatteryatroom
temperature(70°or22°C)wheneverpossible.

locatedbelowtheignitionkey(Figure26).

displaythatindicatesthefollowingstatesofcharging:
•Aredlightindicatesthatthechargerischargingthe
battery.
•Agreenlightindicatesthatthechargerisfully
chargedorthechargerisdisconnectedfromthe
battery.
•Aashinglightthatalternatesbetweenredandgreen
indicatesthatthebatteryisnearlyfullycharged.This
statelastsonlyafewminutesuntilthebatteryisfully
charged.
ReplacingtheFuse
Electric-startmodelsonly
Ifthebatterydoesnotchargeortheenginedoesnotrun
withtheelectricstarter,thefusemaybeblown.Replace
itwitha40-ampplug-intypefuse.RefertoInstallingthe
FuseintheSetupsection.
ReplacingtheBlade
ServiceInterval:Yearly
Important: Y ou will need a torque wr ench to install
the blade pr oper l y .Ifyoudonothaveatorque
wrenchorareuncomfortableperformingthis
procedure,contactanAuthorizedServiceDealer.
Examinethebladewheneveryourunoutofgasoline.If
thebladeisdamagedorcracked,replaceitimmediately.
Ifthebladeedgeisdullornicked,haveitsharpenedand
balanced,orreplaceit.
Thebladeissharp;contactingthebladecan
resultinseriouspersonalinjury.
Weargloveswhenservicingtheblade.
