Starting the Engine CAUTION If the engine has been running, the muffler will be hot and can severely burn you. Keep away from the hot muffler. 1. Hold the blade control bar against the handle (Figure 10). Adjust the cutting height as desired. Set the front wheels to the same height as the rear wheels (Figure 9). Note: To raise the mower, move the front cutting height levers rearward and the rear cutting height levers forward.
Stopping the Engine To stop the engine, release the blade control bar. Note: Remove the ignition key when you leave the mower (electric-start models only). Important: When you release the blade control bar, both the engine and blade should stop within 3 seconds. If they do not stop properly, stop using your mower immediately and contact an Authorized Service Dealer. Installing the Grass Bag Operating the Bag-on-Demand Lever 1. Raise and hold up the rear deflector (Figure 14). The bag-on-demand feature allows you to either collect or recycle grass and leaf clippings while the grass bag is attached to the mower. • For bagging the grass and leaf clippings, press the button on the bag-on-demand lever and move the lever forward until the button on the lever pops up (Figure 15). If the grass bag is on the mower and the bag-on-demand lever is in the bagging position, move the lever to the recycling position (refer to Operating the Bag-on-Demand Lever). WARNING The blade is sharp; contacting the blade can result in serious personal injury.
Operating Tips – Overlap cutting swaths instead of cutting a full swath with each pass. General Mowing Tips – Set the cutting height on the front wheels one notch lower than the rear wheels. For example, set the front wheels at 2-1/8-inch (54 mm) and the rear wheels at 2-1/2 inches (64 mm). • Clear the area of sticks, stones, wire, branches, and other debris that the blade could hit. • Avoid striking solid objects with the blade. Never deliberately mow over any object.
Maintenance Note: Determine the left and right sides of the machine from the normal operating position. Charging the Battery • A green light indicates that the charger is fully charged or the charger is disconnected from the battery. This state lasts only a few minutes until the battery is fully charged.

Reciclado de los recortes Su cortacésped viene preparado de fábrica para reciclar, es decir, para picar los recortes de hierba y hojas y devolverlos al césped. Si la bolsa de recortes está instalada en el cortacésped, y la palanca de ensacado a demanda está en la posición de ensacado, mueva la palanca a la posición de reciclado (consulte Manejo de la palanca de ensacado a demanda) antes de reciclar los recortes.
Funcionamiento de la palanca de ensacado a demanda La función de ensacado a demanda le permite recoger o reciclar los recortes de hierba y hojas con la bolsa de recortes instalada en el cortacésped. • Para ensacar los recortes de hierba y hojas, presione hacia dentro el botón de la palanca de ensacado a demanda y mueva la palanca hacia delante hasta que salga el botón de la palanca (Figura 15). 5. Lisez le niveau d'huile indiqué sur la jauge. Remarque: Si le niveau n'atteint pas le repère Add (minimum) de la jauge, versez lentement une quantité d'huile suffisante dans le goulot de remplissage et répétez les opérations 3 à 5 jusqu'à ce que le niveau d'huile atteigne le repère Full (maximum) (Figure 8). Important: Il ne faut pas remplir le carter moteur excessivement puis mettre le moteur en marche.
Remarque: Si le moteur ne démarre pas après plusieurs tentatives, contactez un réparateur agréé. Utilisation de la commande d'autotraction Pour actionner l'autotraction, il vous suffit d'avancer, les mains posées sur la partie supérieure du guidon et les coudes serrés ; la tondeuse avance automatiquement à votre rythme (Figure 13). Si le bac à herbe est monté sur la tondeuse et si le levier de ramassage sur demande est en position de ramassage, placez le levier en position de recyclage (voir Utilisation du levier de ramassage sur demande) avant de recycler l'herbe coupée. Si l'éjecteur latéral est monté sur la tondeuse, enlevez-le (voir Retrait de l'éjecteur latéral) avant de procéder au recyclage. Ramassage de l'herbe coupée Utilisez le bac à herbe pour recueillir l'herbe et les feuilles coupées à la surface de la pelouse.
• Pour ramasser les déchets d'herbe et de feuilles, appuyez sur le bouton du levier de ramassage sur demande et déplacez le levier complètement en avant jusqu'à ce que le bouton ressorte (Figure 15). Important: Avant de basculer la tondeuse pour vidanger l'huile ou remplacer la lame, laissez le moteur en marche jusqu'à ce qu'il s'arrête faute de carburant. Si vous ne pouvez pas attendre que le moteur s'arrête par manque de carburant, utilisez une pompe manuelle pour vider le reste de carburant.
Chargez la batterie pendant 24 heures la première fois, puis tous les mois (tous les 25 démarrages) ou selon les besoins. Utilisez toujours le chargeur dans un lieu à l'abri et chargez la batterie à la température ambiante (22°C ou 70°F) dans la mesure du possible. 1. Important: Un boulon vissé à 82 Nm (60 pi-lb) est très serré.
Remisage 2. Placez la tondeuse sur une surface plane et revêtue. 3. Lavez le dessous du déflecteur arrière au point où l'herbe coupée passe du carter au bac de ramassage. Remisez la tondeuse dans un local frais, propre et sec. Remarque: Lavez la zone doté du ramassage sur demande aux positions avant et arrière maximales. Préparation de la tondeuse au remisage 4. Branchez un tuyau d'arrosage relié à l'alimentation en eau au raccord de lavage du carter du tablier de coupe (Figure 30).
Pliage du guidon ATTENTION Vous risquez d'endommager les câbles et de rendre la machine dangereuse à utiliser si vous pliez ou dépliez mal le guidon. • Veillez à ne pas endommager les câbles en pliant ou dépliant le guidon. • Si un câble est endommagé, adressez-vous à un réparateur agréé. 1.
