1.Stopthemotorandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
2.Removethekeyfromtheplugreceptacle.
3.Tipthemachineontoitsside.
4.Removethebladebyturningthebladeboltcounterclockwise
(Figure14).

thicklypaddedglove.

6.Installasharp,balancedblade,withthewasherandthe
bladeboltthatyoupreviouslyremoved.
7.Tightenthebladeboltto40to50ft-lb(54to68N-m).
8.Returnthemachinetotheoperatingposition.

Important:Thissealedlead(acid)batterymustbe
collected,recycled,ordisposedofinanenvironmental
soundmanner.
Incinerating,landlling,ormixingsealedlead(acid)batterieswith
themunicipalsolidwastestreamisprohibitedbylawinsome
states.
Returnthisbatterytoanapprovedsealedlead(acid)battery
recycler.Thismaybewhereyoupurchasedthemachine.

informationregardingtheenvironmentallysoundcollection,
recycling,anddisposalofthisbattery.

Storage
Storethemachineinacool,clean,anddryplacesuchasan
unheatedgarage.Donotstoreabattery-poweredmowerin
awarmbasement.Coverthemachinetokeepitcleanand
protected.
1.Cleanthemachinehousing.RefertoCleaningtheMachine
(page10).
2.Removeglassclippings,dirt,andgrimefromexternalparts
oftheshroudingandthetopofthemachinehousing.
3.Checktheconditionoftheblade.RefertoMaintainingthe
Blade(page10).
4.Tightenallloosenuts,bolts,andscrews.
Important:Thismachinehasabatterychargerthat
checksthechargestateofthebatteryandchargesthe
batteryonlywhennecessary.Unplugthechargerafter
24hoursofcharging,thoughyoumayleavethecharger
pluggedintothemachinelongerwithoutharmingthe
system.Duringthenon-mowingseason,youcanunplug
andstorethemachineforupto3monthsifthebattery
isfullychargedandthemachineisstoredinacool,dry
place.
