•Checktheaircleanerfordirty,loose,ordamagedparts,andcleanorreplacethem

ifnecessary.

•Changetheengineoil.

•Replacetheaircleanerelement(morefrequentlywhenoperatingthemowerindusty

ordirtyoperatingconditions).

Beforestorage

•Emptythefueltankbeforerepairsasdirectedandbeforeannualstorage.

Yearly

•Replacethebladeorhaveitsharpened;replaceorsharpenitmorefrequentlyif

theedgedullsquickly.

•Cleantheaircoolingsystem;cleanitmorefrequentlyindustyoperatingconditions.

PreparingforMaintenance

1.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.

2.Disconnectthespark-plugwirefromthesparkplug

(Figure14)beforeperforminganymaintenance

procedure.

connectthespark-plugwiretothesparkplug.

Important:Beforetippingthemowertochange

theoilorreplacetheblade,allowthefueltank

torundrythroughnormalusage.Ifyoumust

tipthemowerpriortorunningoutoffuel,usea

handfuelpumptoremovethefuel.Alwaystip

themowerontoitssidewiththedipstickdown.

WARNING

Tippingthemowermaycausethefueltoleak.

Gasolineisammable,explosiveandcancause

Runtheenginedryorremovethegasolinewith

ahandpump;neversiphon.
