•Alwaysshutoffthemachine,removethe
electric-startbutton(ifequipped),waitforall
movingpartstostop,andallowthemachinetocool
beforeadjusting,servicing,cleaning,orstoringit.
•Cleangrassanddebrisfromthemachinetohelp
preventres.Cleanupoilorfuelspills.
•Neverstorethemachineorfuelcontainerwhere
thereisanopename,spark,orpilotlight,such
asonawaterheateroronotherappliances.
HaulingSafety
•Removetheelectric-startbutton(ifequipped)
beforeloadingthemachineforhauling.
•Usecarewhenloadingorunloadingthemachine.
•Securethemachinefromrolling.
CleaningundertheMachine
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
WARNING
Themachinemaydislodgematerialfrom
underthemachine.
•Weareyeprotection.
•Stayintheoperatingposition(behindthe
handle)whentheengineisrunning.
•Donotallowbystandersinthearea.

2.Movethemachineontoalevelsurface.
3.Washouttheareaunderthereardoor(if
applicable)wheretheclippingsgofromthe
undersideofthemachinetothegrassbag.
4.Attachagardenhosethatisconnectedtoa
watersupplytothewashoutport(Figure23).
