•Ensurethattheenginestopswithin3secondsafterreleasingtheblade-controlbar.
•Cleangrassclippingsanddirtfromunderthemachine.
Every25hours
•Chargethebattery.
•Lubricatetherearwheelgears.
•Replacethebladeorhaveitsharpened(morefrequentlyiftheedgedullsquickly).
Beforestorage
•Chargethebattery.
•Emptythefueltankbeforerepairsasdirectedandbeforeannualstorage.
Yearly
•Replacetheairlter;replaceitmorefrequentlyindustyoperatingconditions.
•Changetheengineoil.
PreparingforMaintenance
1.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
2.Removetheelectric-startbutton;referto
Figure14(electric-startmodelonly).
3.Disconnectthesparkplugwirefromthesparkplug
(
Figure32)beforeperforminganymaintenance
procedure.

5.Inserttheelectric-startbuttoninthestarter
(electric-startmodelonly).
Important:Beforetippingthemachinetochange
theoilorreplacetheblade,allowthefueltankto
rundrythroughnormalusage.Ifyoumusttip
themachinepriortorunningoutoffuel,usea
handfuelpumptoremovethefuel.Alwaystipthe
machineontoitssidewiththeairlterup.
WARNING
Tippingthemachinemaycausethefuelto
leak.Gasolineisammable,explosiveand
cancausepersonalinjury.
Runtheenginedryorremovethegasoline
withahandpump;neversiphon.
