Mower Operator’s Manual
Use the handle assembly instructions provided below in place of those contained in the Operator ’ s Manual. Place this
Addendum with the Operator ’ s Manual for future reference.
Handle Assembly
1. Loosen the handle knobs and lift the top handle up
until the handle halves are in line and nest together ,
then lightly tighten one of the handle knobs.
2. Insert the left end of the lower handle and cable guide
onto the pin on the left mounting bracket (Fig. 1).

3. Install the right end of the lower handle onto the pin
on the right handle mounting bracket (Fig. 1).
IMPORTANT : Ensur e the cables ar e r outed on the
inside of the handles and the starter r ope is to the
outside (Fig. 2).

4. Tighten both handle knobs securely .
5.
Install the traction cable spring onto the transmission
bracket if it is not already connected (Fig. 3).

Using a Discharge T unnel Plug
1. Ensure that the engine is turned of f.
2.
Open the dischar ge door by moving handle rearward
(Fig. 4) and hold it open while inserting the plug.

3. Insert the plug into the dischar ge tunnel opening and
fit the lower section into the opening first (Fig. 5).

1. Door latch
4. Lift the door latch on the door handle (Fig. 5), and
push the top of the plug all the way in while moving
the door handle rearward.
5. Release the door latch, allowing it to hook over tabs
on the plug (Fig. 6).

6. To remove the plug, pull up on the door latch and hold
dischar ge door fully open. When the plug is unlocked,
pull it out of the dischar ge tunnel.
