SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS INSTALL DISCHARGE TUNNEL PLUG 1. Make sure engine is off. 2. Open discharge door and insert plug into discharge tunnel opening {Fig. 4). 3. RECYCLING TIPS ¢ Raise the height-of-cut setting on your mower. & Cut grass more frequently. ¢ Overlap cutting swaths instead of cutting a full swath with each pass. + Mow across the marginal areas a second time. CUTTING LEAVES e When curling is complete, always be sure that 50% of the lawn shows through the cut eaf cover, This may require ane or more passes aver the leaves. & Walk at a slower mowing speed if leaves are not being cut up finely enough to be hidden down in the grass.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS In general, it is recommended that: o Grass length should usually be cut at the settings or MAINTAINED at two to three inches in height. * Cutting below the C setting is not recommended unless grass Is sparse or it is late fall when grass growth begins to slow down. When cutting long grass, you may need 10 use a higher height-of cut setting and a slower walking speed; then recur the grass at a more normal setting.
