AdjustingtheSelf-PropelDrive
Wheneveryouinstallanewself-propelcableorifthe
self-propeldriveisoutofadjustment,adjusttheself-propel
drive.
1.Turntheadjustmentknobcounterclockwisetoloosen
thecableadjustment(Figure25).

Themachinemaydislodgematerialfromunderthe

Stayintheoperatingposition(behindthe
handle)whentheengineisrunning.
Donotallowbystandersinthearea.
Forbestresults,cleanunderthemachinesoonafteryouhave
completedmowing.
1.Lowerthemachinetoitslowestcutting-heightsetting;
refertoAdjustingtheCuttingHeight(page10).
2.Movethemachineontoaatpavedsurface.
3.Washouttheareaunderthereardeectorwherethe
clippingsgofromtheundersideofthemachinetothe
grassbag.
Note:Washouttheareawiththebag-on-demandin
boththefullyforwardandfullyrearwardpositions.
4.Attachagardenhosethatisconnectedtoawater
supplytothewashoutportonthemachine(Figure26).

comeoutfromunderthemachine.
7.Stoptheengine.
8.Shutoffthewateranddisconnectthegardenhose
fromthemachine.

undersideofthemachinetopreventitfromrusting.
10.Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringthemachine
inanenclosedarea.
