•Donotallowbystandersinthearea.
Forbestresults,cleanthemowersoonafteryouhave
completedmowing.
1.Ifthegrassbagisonthemower,removeit.
2.Lowerthemowertoitslowestcuttingheightsetting.
RefertoAdjustingtheCuttingHeight.
3.Movethemowerontoaatpavedsurface.
4.Attachagardenhosethatisconnectedtoawater
supplytothewashoutportonthemowerhousing
(Figure29).

ScrapingMethod
Tippingthemowermaycausethefueltoleak
fromthecarburetororthefueltank.Gasoline
isextremelyammable,highlyexplosive,and,
undercertainconditions,cancausepersonal
injuryorpropertydamage.
Runtheenginedryorremovethefuelwitha
handpump;neversiphonthefuel.

PreparingforMaintenance.
2.Removethegrassbag.
3.Drainthefuelfromthefueltank.
4.Tipthemowerontoitssidewiththeairlterup.
5.Removethedirtandgrassclippingswithahardwood
orplasticscraper.Avoidburrsandsharpedges.
6.Spraytheundersideofthemowerhousingwith
water.
Important:Movethebladeaslittleaspossible
toavoidfuturestartingproblems.
7.Turnthemowerupright.
