Installing the Grass Bag

Parts needed for this step:

Procedure

Use the g rass bag when y ou w ant to collect g rass

and leaf clippings from the la wn.

If the side disc harg e c hute is on the mo w er ,

remo v e it and loc k the side disc harg e door before

bag ging the clippings .

T he blade is shar p; contacting the blade can

r esult in serious per sonal injur y .

Stop the engine and w ait f or all mo ving par ts

to stop bef or e lea ving the operating position.

1. Raise and hold up the rear door ( Figure 1 ).

3. Install the bag onto the door rod (see inset in

Figure 1 ).

4. Lo w er the rear door .

5. T o remo v e the bag, rev erse the ste ps abo v e .

Step 2 Installing the Bagging Blade Parts needed for this step: 1 Bagging blade Procedure 1. Stop the engine and wait for all moving parts to stop. Figure 2 2. Disconnect the wire from the spark plug. 7. Return the mower to the its operating position. 3. Drain the gasoline from the fuel tank; refer to your Operator’s Manual. 8. Connect the wire to the spark plug. 4. Tip the mower onto its side with the air ﬁlter up. 5. Remove the existing blade and fasteners. 6.
