1.Lowerthemachinetoitslowestcutting-height
setting.
2.Movethemachinetoapavedlevelsurface.
3.Turnonthemachineandengagetheblade.
4.Holdagardenhoseathandlelevelandspraya
streamofwaterinfrontoftheright,rearwheel
(Figure21).
Note:Thewaterwillsplashintothepathofthe
blade,cleaningouttheclippings.

Ifwashingdoesnotremovealldebrisfromunderthe
machine,scrapeitclean.
1.Shutoffthemachineandwaitforallmoving
partstostop.
2.Removetheelectric-startbuttonandthebattery
fromthemachine.
3.Tipthemachineontoitsside.
4.Removethedirtandgrassclippingswitha
scraper.Avoidanyburrsorsharpedges.
5.Returnthemachinetotheoperatingposition.
