Carefullyexaminetheacceleratorforexcessivewear
(Figure25).Becausesandandabrasivematerialcan
wearawaythemetal(especiallyintheareashown
asitem2inFigure25),checktheacceleratorbefore
usingthemachine.Ifyounoticethatatabonthe
acceleratorhasbeenworndowntoasharpedgeor
thereisacrack,replacetheaccelerator.

Awornordamagedacceleratorcanbreak,

SharpeningtheBlade
ServiceInterval:Every50hours—Sharpenor
replacetheblade.Maintainitmore
frequentlyiftheedgedullsquicklyin
roughorinsandyconditions.
Filethetopsideofthebladetomaintainitsoriginal
cuttingangle(Figure26A)andinnercuttingedge
radius(Figure26B).Thebladewillremainbalancedif
youremovethesameamountofmaterialfromboth
cuttingedges.
