•Haveanauthorizedengineservicingdealercheckandadjusttheywheelbrakepad.
Beforeeachuseordaily
•Checktheengine-oillevel.
•Inspecttheaircleanerelements.
•Inspectthemowerbladesforwearordamage.
•Removegrassclippingsanddirtfromunderthehousing.
•Checkthestoppingtimeofthebladebrake.Theblademuststopwithin3seconds
ofreleasingtheblade-controlbar;ifitdoesnot,contactanAuthorizedService
Dealerforrepair.
Every50hours
•Cleantheairlterelements.Cleanthemmorefrequentlyindustyoperating
conditions.
•Sharpenorreplacetheblade.Maintainitmorefrequentlyiftheedgedullsquicklyin
roughorinsandyconditions.
•Removegrassclippingsanddebrisfromunderthebeltcover.
•Haveanauthorizedengineservicingdealerchecktheywheelbrakeoperation.
Every100hours
•Changetheengineoil.
•Inspect,clean,andadjustthesparkpluggap;replacethesparkplugifnecessary.
•Haveanauthorizedengineservicingdealercheckandadjusttheywheelbrakepad.
Every200hours
•Replacetheaircleanerelements.Replacethemmorefrequentlyindustyoperating
conditions.
•Haveanauthorizedengineservicingdealercheckforleaksinthefuelsystemand/or
adeterioratingfuelhose.Replacepartsifnecessary.
•Haveanauthorizedengineservicingdealercheckandadjusttheengineidlespeed,
checkandadjustthevalveclearance,andcleanthefueltankandthefuellter.
Important:Refertoyourengineoperator'smanualforadditionalmaintenanceprocedures.
CAUTION
Ifyouleavethewireonthesparkplug,someonecouldaccidentlystarttheengineand
seriouslyinjureyouorbystanders.
Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplugbeforeyoudoanymaintenance.Setthewireasideso
thatitdoesnotaccidentlycontactthesparkplug.

Every200hours—Replacetheaircleaner
elements.Replacethemmorefrequentlyin
dustyoperatingconditions.
Important:Donotoperatetheenginewithoutthe
airlterassemblyinplace;otherwise,extreme
enginedamagewilloccur.
1.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartsto
stop.
2.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.
3.Removethe2nutsthatsecurethecover(Figure
20).
4.Removethecover.
Note:Becarefultopreventdirtanddebrisfrom
fallingintothebaseoftheaircleaner.
