•Inspecttheacceleratorperiodicallyfor
wearordamage.
•Replaceawornordamagedaccelerator.
RemovingtheBlade
1.Grasptheendofthebladeusingaragora
thicklypaddedglove.
2.Removethebladebolt,thelockwasher,the
accelerator,andtheblade(Figure26).
SharpeningtheBlade
ServiceInterval:Every50hours—Sharpenor
replacetheblade.Maintainitmore
frequentlyiftheedgedullsquicklyin
roughorinsandyconditions.
Filethetopsideofthebladetomaintainitsoriginal
cuttingangle(Figure28A)andinnercuttingedge
radius(Figure28B).Thebladewillremainbalancedif
youremovethesameamountofmaterialfromboth
cuttingedges.

1.Checkthebalanceofthebladebyplacing
thecenterholeofthebladeoveranailor
screwdrivershankclampedhorizontallyinavise
(Figure29).

accelerator,thelockwasher,andthebladebolt.
Thesailoftheblademustpointtowardthetop
ofthemowerhousingforproperinstallation.
Note:T orquethebladeboltto82N∙m(60ft-lb).
