Improperlyusingormaintainingthislawnmowercan
resultininjury.Toreducethepotentialforinjury,
complywiththesesafetyinstructions.
Torodesignedandtestedthislawnmowerfortooffer
reasonablysafeservice;however,failuretocomplywiththe
followinginstructionsmayresultinpersonalinjury.

Engineexhaustcontainscarbonmonoxide,an
odorless,deadlypoisonthatcankillyou.
Donotruntheengineindoorsorinanenclosed
area.
Toensuremaximumsafety,bestperformance,andto
gainknowledgeoftheproduct,itisessentialthatyou
andanyotheroperatorofthelawnmowerreadand
understandthecontentsofthismanualbeforetheengine
iseverstarted.Payparticularattentiontothesafetyalert
symbol(Figure2)whichmeansCaution,Warning,or
Danger.Readandunderstandtheinstructionbecause
ithastodowithsafety.Failuretocomplywiththe
instructionmayresultinpersonalinjury.

Thismachineiscapableofamputatinghandsandfeetand
ofthrowingobjects.Failuretoobservethefollowingsafety
instructionscouldresultinseriousinjuryordeath.
Thefollowinginstructionshavebeenadaptedfromthe
ANSI/OPEIB71.4-2012standard.
Training
•ReadtheOperator'sManualandothertrainingmaterial.If
theoperator(s)ormechanic(s)cannotreadEnglishitis
theowner'sresponsibilitytoexplainthismaterialtothem.
•Becomefamiliarwiththesafeoperationoftheequipment,
operatorcontrols,andsafetysigns.
•Alloperatorsandmechanicsshouldbetrained.The
ownerisresponsiblefortrainingtheusers.
•Neverletchildrenoruntrainedpeopleoperateorservice
theequipment.Localregulationsmayrestricttheageof
theoperator.
•Theowner/usercanpreventandisresponsiblefor
accidentsorinjuriesoccurringtothemselves,other
people,orproperty.
Preparation
•Onlyuseaccessoriesandattachmentsapprovedbythe
manufacturer.
