Checking,Adding,and
BleedingtheEngineCoolant
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Cleandebrisoffofthescreen,oilcooler,andfront
oftheradiatordailyandmoreoftenifconditionsare
extremelydustyanddirty
Thecoolingsystemislledwitha50/50solution
ofwaterandpermanentethyleneglycolantifreeze.
Checkthelevelofcoolantintheexpansiontankatthe
beginningofeachdaybeforestartingtheengine.
DANGER
Iftheenginehasbeenrunning,thepressurized,
hotcoolantcanescapeandcausesevereburns.
•Donotremovetheradiatorcapwhenthe
engineishot.Alwaysallowtheenginetocool
atleast15minutesoruntiltheradiatorcapis
coolenoughtotouchwithoutburningyour
handbeforeremovingtheradiatorcap.
•Donottouchradiatorandsurroundingparts
thatarehot.
•Usearagwhenopeningtheradiatorcap,and
openthecapslowlytoallowsteamtoescape.
DANGER
Rotatingshaftandfancancausepersonalinjury.
•Donotoperatethemachinewithoutthecovers
inplace.
•Keepngers,handsandclothingclearof
rotatingfananddriveshaft.
•Shutofftheegineandremovetheignitionkey
beforeperformingmaintenance.

Thecoolantlevelshouldbeatorabovethemark
onthesideofthetank.
