1.Removethefrontscreen;refertoRemovingtheFront
Screen(page28).
2.Connecta3to4Abatterychargertothebatteryposts.
3.Chargethebatteryatarateof3to4Afor4to8hours.
4.Whenthebatteryischarged,disconnectthecharger
fromtheelectricaloutletandbatteryposts.
WARNING
Chargingthebatteryproducesgassesthatcan
explode.
Neversmokenearthebatteryandkeepsparks
andamesawayfrombattery.
5.Installthepositivecable(red)tothepositive(+)
terminalandthenegativecable(black)tothenegative
(-)terminalofthebattery(Figure50).
Important:Securecablestopostswithcapscrews
andnuts.Makesurethatthepositive(+)terminal
isallofthewayontothepostandthecableis
positionedsnugtothebattery.Thecablemustnot
contactthebatterycover.Slidetherubberboot
overthepositiveterminaltopreventapossible
shortfromoccurring.
