DrainingtheFuel
Filter/WaterSeparator
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagethe
parkingbrake,andlowertheloaderarms.
2.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
3.Opentherear-accesscover;refertoOpening
theRear-AccessCover(page26).
4.Locatethefuellterontherearsideofthe
engine(Figure47)andplaceacleancontainer
underit.

canisterandallowthewatertodrain.
6.Whennished,tightenthedrainvalve.

ReplacingtheFuelFilter
CanisterandIn-LineFilter
ServiceInterval:Every400hours
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagethe
parkingbrake,andlowertheloaderarms.
2.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
3.Opentherear-accesscover;refertoOpening
theRear-AccessCover(page26).
4.Locatethefuelltersontherightsideofthe
engine(Figure47)andplaceacleancontainer
underit.
5.Cleantheareawheretheltercanistermounts
(Figure47).
6.Removetheltercanisterandcleanthe
mountingsurface(Figure47).
7.Lubricatethegasketonthenewltercanister
withcleanoil.
8.Fillthecanisterwithfuel.
9.Installtheltercanisterbyhanduntilthegasket
contactsthemountingsurface,thenrotateitan
additional1/2turn(Figure47).
10.Locatethein-lineltertotheleftofthefuellter
canister(Figure47)andnotethedirectionof
owarrowonthesideofthein-linelter.
11.Opentheclampsoneachendofthein-linelter
andslidethehosesoffit(Figure47).Discard
thelter.
12.Slidethehosesovertheendofanewlter
(Figure47),ensuringthatthearrowonthelter
ispointingtowardtheengineorelectricfuel
pump.
13.Securethehosestothelterwiththehose
clamps.
14.Closetherear-accesscoverandsecurewiththe
fastener(s).
