FlowDividerControl
Thetractionunithydraulics(i.e.,thetractiondrive,
loaderarms,andattachmenttilt)workonaseparate
hydrauliccircuitfromtheauxiliaryhydraulicsfor
poweringattachments;however,thetwosystemsshare
thesamehydraulicpumps.Usingtheowdivider
control(Figure10),youcanvarythespeedofthe
tractionunithydraulicsbydivertinghydraulicowtothe
auxiliaryhydraulicscircuit.Theowdividerallowsyou
todividetheowofuidinvaryingdegreestoslowthe
tractionunit.Thus,themorehydraulicowyoudivert
totheauxiliaryhydraulics,theslowerthetractionunit
hydraulicswillmove.

Movetheowdividercontroltothetwelveo’clock
positiontoprovidemaximumspeedtothetraction
unithydraulics.
Usethissettingforfastoperationofthetractionunit.
Movetheowdividercontrolbetweenthetwelve
o’clockandnineo’clockpositionstoslowthe
tractionunithydraulicsandnetunethespeed.
Useasettinginthisrangewithattachments
withhydraulicswhereyouneedtobothrunthe
attachmentandmovethetractionunithydraulics,
suchastheauger,boringunit,hydraulicblade,and
tiller.
Movethecontroltothenineo’clockpositionto
transferallhydraulicowtotheauxiliaryhydraulics
oftheattachment.
Inthissetting,thetractionunithydraulicswillnot
work.Usethissettingwithhydraulicattachments
thatdonotrequiredthetractionunithydraulics.
Therearecurrentlynoattachmentsthatrequirethe
nineo’clockposition;however,thetrencherdoes
workbestifyousetitclosetonineo’clocksothat
thetractionunitwillcreepslowlywhentrenching.
Note:Theowdividercontrolcanbexedinplace
byturningtheknobonthecontrolclockwiseuntilit
contactsthedial(Figure10).
ParkingBrake
Thetractionunitisequippedwithaparkingbrake
(Figure11).Rotatethebrakeleverdownwardtosetthe
braketolocktherearwheelswheneverthetractionunit
willbestoppedonahillorleftunattended.Movethe
leverupbeforedrivingthetractionunit.

IndicatorLights
Theindicatorlightswarnyouinthecaseofasystem
malfunctionand,inthecaseoftheglowpluglight,
indicatethattheglowplugsareon.Figure12illustrates
thefourindicatorlights.

Iftheenginetemperaturelightison,theengineis
overheating.Stoptheengineandallowthetraction
unittocooldown.Checkthecoolantlevelandthe
beltstothefanandwaterpump.Fillthecoolantas
requiredandreplaceanywornorslippingbelts.If
theproblempersists,contactyourAuthorizedToro
Dealerfordiagnosticsandrepair.
OilPressureLight
Thislightisonforafewsecondswheneveryou
starttheengine.Iftheoilpressurelightisonwhile
theengineisrunning,theengineoilpressureislow.
Stoptheengineandallowthetractionunittocool
down.Checktheoillevelandllthecrankcasewith
