ChangingtheEngineOilandFilter
1.Starttheengineandletitrunfor5minutes.
Note:Thiswarmstheoilsothatitdrainsbetter.
2.Parkthemachinesothatthedrainsideisslightly
lowerthantheoppositesidetoensurethatthe
oildrainscompletely.
3.Lowertheloaderarms,engagetheparking
brake,shutofftheengine,andremovethekey.
4.Placeapanundertheoil-draintube(Figure29).

6.Whentheoilhasdrainedcompletely,replace
theplugandtightentheclamp.

(Figure30)gasketsurface.

9.Applyathincoatofnewoiltotherubbergasket
onthereplacementlter(Figure30).
10.Installthereplacementoilltertothelter
adapter.Turntheoillterclockwiseuntilthe
rubbergasketcontactsthelteradapter,then
tightenthelteranadditional1/2turn(Figure
30).
11.Removethellcap(Figure28)andslowlypour
approximately80%ofthespeciedamountofoil
inthroughthevalvecover.
12.Checktheoillevel.
13.Slowlyaddadditionaloiltobringtheleveltothe
uppermarkonthedipstick.
14.Replacethellcap.
15.Starttheengineandletitrunfor15secondsto
allowtheltertollwithoil.
16.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,shutoffthe
engine,andremovethekey.
17.Checktheengine-oillevel.Addoilifneeded.
18.Closetherear-accesscover.
