Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelbeforetheengineis
rststartedandafterevery25operatinghours.
RefertoHydraulic-FluidSpecications(page43)for
hydraulic-uidspecications.
Important:Alwaysusethecorrecthydraulic
uid.Unspecieduidswilldamagethehydraulic
system.
1.Removeanyattachments.
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe
loaderarms,andfullyretractthetiltcylinder.
3.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andallow
theenginetocool.
4.Openthehoodandremovetheleftsidescreen.
5.Cleantheareaaroundthellerneckofthe
hydraulictank(Figure61).
6.Removetheller-neckcapandchecktheuid
levelonthedipstick(Figure61).
Theuidlevelshouldbebetweenthemarkson
thedipstick.

1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagethe
parkingbrake,andlowertheloaderarms.
2.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
3.Opentherearaccesscover.
4.Placeadrainpanunderthelter(Figure62).

5.Removetheoldlter(Figure62)andwipethe
surfaceofthelteradaptergasketclean.
6.Applyathincoathydraulicuidtotherubber
gasketonthereplacementlter.
7.Installthereplacementhydrauliclterontothe
lteradapter(Figure62).Tightenitclockwise
untiltherubbergasketcontactsthelteradapter,
thentightenthelteranadditional3/4turn.
8.Cleanupanyspilleduid.
9.Starttheengineandletitrunforabout2minutes
topurgeairfromthesystem.
10.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andcheck
forleaks.
11.Checktheuidlevelinthehydraulictank
andadduidtoraisetheleveltothemarkon
dipstick;refertoCheckingtheHydraulic-Fluid
Level(page44).
Important:Donotoverllthetank.
