Important:Alwaysusethetractionunittoliftand
movetheattachment.
FillingaTrench
1.Starttheengine.
2.Pulltheauxiliaryhydraulicslevertothereference
bartoengagethetrenchller.
3.Slowlylowerthetrenchllertothegroundsothat
theaugerisjustabovetheground.
4.Forbestresults,startwiththeoatrollerscentered
intheoatguide.
5.Slowlymovethetractionunitforwardtollthe
trench.
Note:Ifyoumovetoofast,thetrenchller
willstall.Ifitstalls,raiseitslightly,slowlydrive
rearward,thenresumemovingforward.
6.Whennished,stopthetrenchllerbyreleasingthe
auxiliaryhydraulicslever.
TransportingtheAttachment
onaTrailer
1.Placetheattachmentonatrailerortruckcapable
ofcarryingit.
2.Securelytietheattachmenttothetrailerortruck
usingtiestrapsappropriatefortheweightofthe
attachmentandforhighwayuse.
OperatingTips
Cleantheareaoftrash,branches,androcksbefore
trenchllingtopreventequipmentdamage.
Forbesttrenchlling,centertheunitoverthe
trench(Figure4).

Alwaysbegintrenchllingwiththeslowestground
speedpossible.Increasethespeedifconditions
permit.
Alwaysusefullthrottle(maximumenginespeed)
whentrenchlling.
Nevertransportthetrenchllerwiththeloader
armsraised.
Whentrenchlling,theaugershouldjustclearthe
originalgroundsurfacetoobtainmaximumsoil
depositintothetrench.
Periodicallychecktoensurethattherollersonthe
trenchlleroatareoperatingproperly.
Whennished,compactthematerialoverthe
trenchtoprepareitforgrading.
