Important:Alwaysusethetractionunittoliftand
movetheattachment.
FillingaTrench
1.Starttheengine.
2.Pulltheauxiliaryhydraulicslevertothereference
bartoengagethetrenchller.
3.Slowlylowerthetrenchllertothegroundsothat
theaugerisjustabovetheground.
4.Forbestresults,startwiththeoatrollerscentered
intheoatguide.
5.Slowlymovethetractionunitforwardtollthe
trench.
Note:Ifyoumovetoofast,thetrenchller
willstall.Ifitstalls,raiseitslightly,slowlydrive
rearward,thenresumemovingforward.
6.Whennished,stopthetrenchllerbyreleasingthe
auxiliaryhydraulicslever.
TransportingtheAttachment
onaTrailer
1.Placetheattachmentonatrailerortruckcapable
ofcarryingit.
2.Securelytietheattachmenttothetrailerortruck
usingtiestrapsappropriatefortheweightofthe
attachmentandforhighwayuse.
OperatingTips
•Cleantheareaoftrash,branches,androcksbefore
trenchllingtopreventequipmentdamage.
•Forbesttrenchlling,centertheunitoverthe
trench(Figure4).

•Alwaysbegintrenchllingwiththeslowestground
speedpossible.Increasethespeedifconditions
permit.
•Alwaysusefullthrottle(maximumenginespeed)
whentrenchlling.
•Nevertransportthetrenchllerwiththeloader
armsraised.
•Whentrenchlling,theaugershouldjustclearthe
originalgroundsurfacetoobtainmaximumsoil
depositintothetrench.
•Periodicallychecktoensurethattherollersonthe
trenchlleroatareoperatingproperly.
•Whennished,compactthematerialoverthe
trenchtoprepareitforgrading.
