Starter System
Starter Motor Removal
•
Remove the mounting bolts [A] and pull the starter motor [B] from the
engine.
Starter Motor Installation
•
Clean the starter motor and engine mounting flanges to ensure good
electrical contact and tighten the mounting bolts.
Torque - Starter Motor Mounting Bolts: 15 N 1 m (1.5 kgf
1 m, 11.0 ft
1 lb)
Starter Motor Disassembly
•
Remove:
Through Bolts [A]
Brush Plate [B]
Yoke [C]
Cap [D]
•
Wrap a cloth around the Pinion assembly. Then, holding it on a vise
with alminum plates [A] placed in between and remove the nut.
•
Remove:
Washer [A]
Spring [B]
Collar [C]
Pinion Assembly [D]
Washer [E]
Slider [F]
Bracket [G]
Armature [H]
Washer [I]
Conical Spring Washer [J]
