Carburetor
Main Jet Replacement
FX Models
•
Close the fuel shut off valve in the equipment.
•
Remove the carburetor (see Carburetor Removal).
•
Drain the fuel in the carburetor completely by unscrewing
the drain screw at the bottom of the float chamber (see
Fuel System Cleanliness Inspection in the Periodic Main-
tenance chapter).
•
Unscrew the chamber screws [A] and take off the float
chamber [B].
•
Remove the float assembly [A] from the float chamber.
•
Remove:
Pin [A]
Float [B]
Float Valve [C]
Spacer [D]
O-rings [E]
•
Use the rod to push the main jet “L” [A] and “R” [B] out
from the bottom side of the spacer [C].
