Inlet Manifold
Inlet Manifold Inspection
•
Inspect the intake manifold for cracks or porous casting.
•
Cracks not visible to the eye may be detected by using a
metal crack detection system (Visual color check: com-
monly found at automotive parts store.).
If a crack is present in the inlet manifold, replace it.
•
Inspect the gasket surfaces for burrs and nicks.
