cleantheprimarylter.
ServicingtheSafetyFilter
Replacethesafetylter;nevercleanit.

lterisdamaged.Replacebothlters.
InstallingtheFilters
Important:Topreventenginedamage,always
operatetheenginewithbothairltersandthe
coverinstalled.
1.Ifyouareinstallingnewlters,checkeachlter
forshippingdamage.
Note:Donotuseadamagedlter.
2.Ifyouarereplacingthesafetylter,carefully
slideitintothelterbody(Figure29).
3.Carefullyslidetheprimarylteroverthesafety
lter(Figure29).
Note:Ensurethattheprimarylterisfully
seatedbypushingonitsouterrimwhileinstalling
it.
Important:Donotpressonthesoftinside
areaofthelter.
4.Installtheair-cleanercoverwiththeside
indicatedasupfacingupwardandsecurethe
latches(Figure29).
