11.Loosenthe2setscrewslocatedontheanged
bearing,andslidethebearingofftheshaft.
12.Loosenandremovetheslicer-shaftnutand
pulleyspacerfromtheshaft.
13.Carefullyslidethealternatingbladesand
spacersofftheshaft,andreplacethemas
necessary.
14.Reversetheproceduretoinstalltheassembly.
Note:Rotateeachblade1/6turnfromthe
previousblade.

Incorrectinstallationofthebladeor
componentsusedtoretainthebladecan
bedangerous.Failuretousealloriginal
componentsandassembledasshown
couldallowabladeorbladecomponent
tobethrownoutfromunderthedeck
resultinginseriouspersonalinjuryor

AlwaysinstallToroblades,bladedrivers,
andbladeboltsasshown.
15.Returnthemachinetotheuprightposition.

Note:Trappeddebrismaypreventtheseedgate
frommovingfreely.
1.Shutofftheengine,waitforallmovingpartsto
stop,andremovethespark-plugwire.Engage
theparkingbrake.
2.Checktoverifythattheseedgatemovesfreely
andisclearofdebris.
3.Iftheseedgatedoesnotopentothestopwhen
theseeder-controlleverisintheONposition,
cleanthegateassembly;refertoCleaningthe
SeedGate(page31).
AdjustingtheSeed-Gate
ClosedPosition
Iftheseedgateispartiallyopenwhenthe
seeder-controlleverisintheOFFposition,complete
thefollowing:
1.Shutofftheengine,waitforallmovingpartsto
stop,andremovethespark-plugwire.
2.Raisethecuttingbladestothehighestposition.
3.Pulltheseeder-controllevertotheOFFposition.
4.Loosenthenutsontheseed-gatecontrolcable
(seeFigure28).
