Maintenance
Note:Thehydrostatictransmissionisfactory-lledand
sealed.Itdoesnotrequiremaintenance.Forservice,contact
yourAuthorizedServiceDealer.
CheckingtheTirePressure
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Maintaintheairpressureinthetiresasspecied.Togetthe
mostaccuratereading,checkthetireswhentheyarecold.
Pressure:165kPa(24psi)

AdjustingtheSelf-propelDrive
Ifthemachinecreepseitherforwardorrearwardwhen
theengineisonandtheself-propeldrivebailisinneutral,
completethefollowingprocedure:
1.Stoptheengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,and
removethespark-plugwire.
2.Raisethecuttingbladestothehighestposition.
3.Squeezetheself-propeldrivebailtothehandleuntil
thetransmissionisfullystroked.
Ifthebailcontactsthehandle,releasethebail.
Loosenthetopadjustmentnut1turn,andtighten
thebottomadjustmentnut.Squeezethebailto
thehandle.Repeatthisstepuntilthereisagapof
upto3.2mm(1/8inch)betweentheself-propel
drivebailandthehandle.Oncethegapisachieved,
proceedwithstep4.

Ifthebaildoesnotcontactthehandle,then
proceedtostep

4.Removethehairpinandrotatetheturnbuckleclockwise
1fullturn.
5.Installthehairpinandrotatethejamnutagainstthe
turnbuckle.
6.Starttheengineandtesttheadjustment,repeatingthis
procedureasnecessary.
Changingthe
Hydraulic-transmissionFluid
ServiceInterval:Every100hours
1.Stoptheengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,and
removethespark-plugwire.Engagetheparkingbrake.
2.Removethetransmissionfromthemachine.
3.Carefullycleantheareaaroundtheexpansiontankand
oil-llport.
Important:Donotallowanydirtorcontamination
toenterthehydraulicsystem.
4.Removeandretaintheoil-llporttting,andposition
thetransmissionsothattheoilwilldraincompletely
outofthehousing.
5.Whenalltheoilhasdrainedfromthetransaxle,remove
andretainthe#10-32x1/2inchself-tappingscrew
andtheratchetfastenerholdingtheexpansiontank
tothehousing.
6.Removetheexpansiontank,anddraintheoil.
Note:Donotremovetheventcapfromthetank.
Note:DonotremovethetankhoseortheO-ring
unlessareplacementisneeded.
