Asseedowvariesgreatlybetweendifferentseedtypes,
llthehopperwithaminimalamountofseedandruna
trialportionoftheyardtoensureyouhavethedesired
seedoutput.
Foroptimalcoverage,reducetheseedowto1/2the
desiredamountandseedtheentireyardinonedirection,
thencompleteasecondcoverageperpendiculartothe
rst.
Important:Donotputdownmoreseedthan
recommendedbytheseedcompany.Overseeding
cancausethegrasstobetoothickandcauseittobe
susceptibletofungus.
Dethatching
Setthecuttingbladestobe3to6mm(1/8to1/4inch)past
thethatchlayer,intotheearth.Operatethemachineoverthe
yardwiththeseeder-controlleverturnedoff.
PowerRaking/Renovating
Tobreaknewgroundortillanexistinglawn,setthecutting
bladestobe6to13mm(1/4to1/2inch)intotheearth.Go
forwardandbackwardovertheareatobeleveled,ormake
multiplepassesfromdifferentdirections.
Themachinewillworkbestwhenthegroundishardanddry
andwillbemostaggressiveinbreakingupthesoilinreverse.
Ifthegroundissoftandcausestheenginetobogdown,raise
thebladesabitandmakeafewpassesbeforeloweringthem
tothefulldepth.
