DoNotrefuelorrunengineunlesssparkarrester
isinstalled.
1.Raisethetines,stopthemachine,stoptheengine,and
disconnectthesparkplugwire.
2.Waitforthemufertocool.
3.Ifyouobserveanybreaksinthescreenorwelds,
replacethesparkarrester.
4.Ifyouobservepluggingofthescreen,removethe
sparkarrester,shakethelooseparticlesoutofit,and
cleanthescreenwithawirebrush(soakinsolventif
necessary).Replacethesparkarresterwhennished.

EmptyingtheFuelTankand
CleaningtheFuelFilter
ServiceInterval:Every100hours
Thefuellter(screen)elementislocatedinsidethefueltank.
1.Stoptheengineandwaitforittocooldown.
Note:Draingasolineforacoldengineonly.
2.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.
3.Closethefuelvalve(Figure29).
4.Disconnectthefuellinebylooseningthetubeclampat
thecarburetor.
5.Openthefuelvalvebyturningthelevertotheopen
position.
6.Drainthegasolinecompletelyfromthetankandfuel
lineintoanapprovedfuelcontainer.
7.Removethefueltankfromthemachine.
8.Closethefuelvalve.
9.Pourasmallamountoffuelinthefueltank,move
thefuelaroundinthetank,andpouritoutintoan
approvedfuelcontainer.
10.Installthefueltankandfuelline.
ReplacingtheFuelFilter
ServiceInterval:Every250hours(Morefrequentlyindusty
conditions.)
1.Stoptheengineandwaitforittocooldown.

only.
2.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.
3.Closethefuelvalve.
4.Clampoffthefuellineoneithersideofthefuellter
(Figure29)topreventfuelfromleakingoutwhenyou
removethelter.
