1.Raisethetines,stopthemachine,stoptheengine,and
disconnectthespark-plugwire.
2.Raisethefrontofthemachinetogainaccesstothe
drivebelts,andblockitinplace;referto
Tippingthe
Machine(page16).
CAUTION
Ifyoudonotsecurelyblockupthefrontofthe
machine,themachinecouldfallonyouduring
service,injuringyou.
Ensurethatyouplaceajackstandorblock
underthefrontofthemachinetoholditup
securely.
Important:Donotraisetherearofthemachine.
Raisingtherearofthemachinewillcausethe
enginetooodandtheaircleanertobefouled
withgasoline.
3.Pushonaspanofthedrivebelts(
Figure34)with4.5
kg(10lb)offorce.Ifthebeltsexmorethan6to13
mm(1/4to1/2inch),adjustthetensionasfollows:
