RemovingDrillPipes
1.Usingtheexit-side-lockouttransmitter,enable
theexitsidelockout.
2.Installadrill-pipewiperaroundthepipeandinto
theretainingbracketonthefrontofthemachine.
Thisremovesmostofthedirtandmudfromthe
pipeasyoupullitbackintothemachine,keeping
themachineclean.ContactyourAuthorized
ServiceDealertopurchasedrill-pipewipers.

3.Disengagetheexit-sidelockoutandresetthe
system.
4.Beginrotatingthedrillspindleclockwiseand
slowlyretractthedrillcarriagetopullthepipe
backintothemachine.
5.Whenthejointbetweenthepipesiscentered
betweenthe2wrenches,thedrillcarriagestops,
andagreenlightilluminatesbehindthespray
valve.
6.Closethelowerwrenchontothepipejoint.
Note:Thedrillinguidautomaticallyshutsoff
whenyouclosethelowerwrench.
7.Closetheupperwrenchontothepipejoint.
8.Rotatetheupperwrenchcounterclockwiseuntil
thejointisloosened.
9.Releasetheupperwrenchandretractthepipe
gripperarms.
10.Rotatethedrillspindlecounterclockwisemoving
rearwardslowlyuntilthepipesareseparated.
11.Movethedrillcarriagebackuntilthemale-pipe
threadsjustclearthefemaleendofthelower
pipe,thenclosetheupperwrenchontothepipe
shoulder,butnotonthethreads.
12.Rotatethedrillspindlecounterclockwiseuntil
theupper-pipejointisloosebutnotseparated.
13.Releasetheupperwrench.
14.Rotatethecamassemblytothedrillframe,
extendthepipe-gripperarmstothepipe,and
gripthepipetosupportit.
15.Movethedrillcarriagebackuntilthepipeislined
upwiththepipeholderloadposition,illuminating
thegreenlight.
