Every250hours—Checkthewholeair-intake
systemforleaks,damage,orloosehose
clamps.
Theair-intakesystemonthismachineiscontinuously
monitoredbyanair-restrictionsensorthatdisplays
whenanadvisorywhentoreplacetheairlter.Donot
replacetheelementsuntilthisoccurs.
Important:Replacethesecondarylterelement
onlyevery3primarylterservices.Donotremove
thesecondaryelementwhencleaningorreplacing
theprimaryelement.Theinnerelementprevents
dustfromenteringtheenginewhenyouservice
theprimaryelement.
Important:Donotoperatetheenginewithoutthe
air-cleanerelements,asthiswouldallowforeign
materialtoentertheengineanddamageit.
1.Releasethelatchessecuringtheair-cleaner
covertotheair-cleanerbody(Figure88).

air(275kPaor40psi,cleananddry)tohelp
removelargeaccumulationsofdebrispacked
betweentheoutsideoftheprimarylterandthe
canister.
Note:Avoidusinghigh-pressureairthatcould
forcedirtthroughthelterintotheintake.This
cleaningprocesspreventsdebrisfrommigrating
intotheintakewhentheprimarylterisremoved.
