DrainingtheCoolantfromthe
System
Important:Donotpourcoolantontotheground
orintoanunapprovedcontainerthatcanleak.
1.Movethemachinetoalevelsurface,shutoff
theengine,andremovethekey.
2.Allowtheenginetocool.
3.Openthefronthood.
4.Removetheradiatorcap(Figure105).
5.Placeadrainpanunderthedrainplug(Figure
106).
Note:Thecoolantcapacityofboththeengine
andtheradiatoris16.8L(17.7USqt).

B.Addacoolingsystemcleaningsolutionto
theradiatorthroughthellerneck(Figure
107).
Note:Usecleaningsolutionof21g(12
ozdry)ofsodiumcarbonateforevery17
L(18USqt)ofwater;otherwise,usea
commerciallyavailableequivalent.Follow
thedirectionsthatcomewiththecleaning
solution.
