•Donotruntheengineinanenclosedarea.
•Donotoperatewithouttheguardssecurelyinplace.Be
sureallinterlocksareattached,adjusted,andfunctioning
properly.
•Donotchangetheenginegovernorsettingoroverspeed
theengine.
•Keepawayfrommovingmachinepartsandpipes.
•Donotoperatethemachinewhenillorunderthe
inuenceofalcoholordrugs.
•Donotleavethemachinerunningunattended.Stopthe
engineandremovethekeybeforeleaving.
•Locatethepinch-pointareasmarkedonthemachineand
attachmentsandkeephandsandfeetawayfromthese
areas.
•Lightningcancausesevereinjuryordeath.Iflightning
isseenorthunderisheardinthearea,donotoperate
themachine;seekshelter.
DrivingSafety
Youdrivethemachinetoandfromtheworksitewiththeuse
ofatetheredremote.Whendrivingthemachine,observethe
followingsafetyprecautions:
•Operatethedrivependantalongsidethemachineoutside
ofthedangerzone(Figure1).
•Keepallbystandersawaywhilemovingthemachine.
•Donotcarrypassengersonthemachine.
•Watchfortheturning-radiussweepofthedrillframe,as
thecenteroftheturningradiusistheendofthetrack.
•Movingthemachinewiththetetheredremotecan
beerratic;moveslowlywhenusingtheremotefor
movement.
•Usecarewhenloadingorunloadingthemachineontoa
trailer.
•Watchfortrafcwhencrossingroadways.
•Checkforoverheadclearances(i.e.branches,doorways,
electricalwires)beforedrivingunderanyobjectsanddo
notcontactthem.
•Whendrivingonaslope,theoperatorshouldbeup-slope
fromthemachine.
