–Ensurethatallpersonnelatthejobsitewear
personalprotectiveequipmentincluding
ahardhat,eyeprotection,andhearing
protection.
–Keepbystandersandspectatorsawayfrom
thejobsite,includingthecompletebore
path.
–Locateandexposeallelectricandgaslines
thatyouwillbecrossingbycarefulhand
digging.
–EnsurethatyouusetheZap-Alertsystem
wheneveryouoperatethemachine.

◊Havethegascompanyturnoffthegas
toanylinesyouwillbecrossingbefore
drilling.
◊Usethereceivertotracktheexactposition
ofthedrillheadwhenapproachinggas
lines.
–Electricalpowerlines

Zap-alertsystemwhichisdesignedto
notifyinthecaseofanelectricstrikeand
electricallyisolatethemachineoperator
fromthemachine.IftheZap-alertalarm
triggers,stopwhatyouaredoinganddo
notleavetheoperator’sposition.Refer
