needtoassociatethetransmittertothebaseunitasfollows:
1.Ensurethatthemachineisturnedoff.
2.Ensurethatthehandheldtransmitterisnotactive(i.e.,
nolightsareon).
3.Whileholdingthehandheldtransmitter,standnearthe
baseunitwithanunobstructed,clearline-of-sight.
4.SimultaneouslypressandholdtheOnandOffbuttons
(Figure58).

willallowthereceiveroperatortoknowexactlywhere
theyare.
3.Ifyouareexitingtheboreatgroundlevelandnotinan
existingtrench,diganangledholeintowhichthebit
willenterattheendofthebore.
4.Ifdesired,digaholetothebeginning-of-the-borepoint
whereyoucandisconnectthepipeorlinesafterpulling
themback.
