CleaningtheDustValve
ServiceInterval:Every50hours
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,stoptheengine,
andremovetheignitionkey.
2.Opentherear-accessdoor.
3.Squeezethesidesofthedustvalveontheair-cleaner
covertoreleaseanycollectedwater,dust,ordirtfrom
thevalve.(Figure117).
Note:Ensurethattherearenoobstructionsinside
thedustvalve.

RemovingtheAir-cleanerCover
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,stoptheengine,
andremovetheignitionkey.
2.Opentherear-accessdoor.
3.Cleantheoutsideoftheair-cleanercanisterwitha
clean,dampcloth.
4.Checktheair-cleanercoverfordamagewhichcould
causeanairleak.Replaceadamagedair-cleanerbody.
Important:Servicetheair-cleanerlteronlywhen
“CheckAirFilter”isdisplayedonthescreen.
Changingtheairlterbeforeitisnecessaryonly
increasesthechanceofdirtenteringtheengine
whenthelterisremoved.
5.Pullthe4latchesfortheair-cleanercoveroutward
(Figure118).

6.Pulltheair-cleanercoverawayfromthelterhousing
andremovethecover.
7.Cleananydebrisfrominsidethecover.
Important:If“CheckAirFilter”isnotdisplayed
onthescreen,donotremovetheairlter.
InstallingtheAir-cleanerCover
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,stoptheengine,
andremovetheignitionkey.
2.Alignthedustcapontheaircleanerltercover.
3.Aligntheair-cleanercoverwiththelterhousing.
4.Placeair-cleanercoverinwarduntilitisfullyseated,
andsecureitwiththelatches(Figure118).
