WARNING
Greaseinthehydraulictrackishighlypressurized;
ensurethatthetrack-tensiongreasevalveisnot
loosenedmorethan1revolutionatatime.
Ifyouremovethetrack-tensiongreasevalve(found
inthehydraulic-tracktensioner)orloosenittoo
much,greasecanbereleasedandmaycause
seriousinjuryordeath.
TighteningtheTrackTension
Ifthetrackseemsloose,tightenthetracktensionasfollows:
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,stoptheengine,
andremovetheignitionkey.
2.Removedirtanddebrisfoundaroundthetrack-tension
greasevalve(Figure139).
Important:Ensurethattheareasurrounding
thetrack-tensiongreasevalveiscleanbefore
beginningtoadjustthetracktension.
3.Removetheretainingboltsandcoverthathousethe
track-tensiongreasevalve.
4.Applygreasetothettinguntilthetensionreaches
31,026kPa(4,500psi)asshowninFigure139.
