MarkingandPreparingthe

1.Walktheborepath,markingitontheground
withmarkingpaintsothatthereceiveroperator
willbeabletofollowtheplan.
2.Handdigtoexposeanyburiedutilitylines
markedpreviouslythattheborepathwillbe
crossing.Thiswillallowthereceiveroperatorto
knowexactlywheretheyare.
3.Ifyouareexitingtheboreatgroundleveland
notinanexistingtrench,diganangledholeinto
whichthebitwillenterattheendofthebore.
4.Ifdesired,digaholetothebeginning-of-the-bore
pointwhereyoucandisconnectthepipeorlines
afterpullingthemback.

CheckingtheOperatorPresence
Safety-InterlockFunctionsonthe
OperatorPlatform
1.Starttheengine.
2.Withtheenginerunning,risefromtheseatand
pressajoystickfunction.
Note:Thedrillfunctionsshouldnotengage.
Iftheydoengage,thereisamalfunctioninthe
interlocksystemthatyoushouldcorrectbefore
resumingoperation.

Safety-InterlockFunctionsonthe
DrivePendant
Youwillneed2peopleforthisprocedure.
1.Starttheengine.
2.Withtheenginerunning,have1personsitin
theseat.
3.Usingthetravelpendant,pressthecontrolsto
tramthemachine.
Note:Thetrammingfunctionsshouldnot
engage.Iftheydoengage,thereisamalfunction
intheinterlocksystemthatyoushouldcorrect
beforeresumingoperation.
4.Withtheenginerunning,usethetravelpendant
andpressthecontrolstolowerthestabilizerfeet
whilenotholdingtheoperatorpresencebutton.
Note:Thestabilizerfeetfunctionsshould
notengage.Iftheydoengage,thereisa
malfunctionintheinterlocksystemthatyou
shouldcorrectbeforeresumingoperation.
5.Withtheenginerunning,usethetravelpendant
andpressthecontrolstotramthemachinewhile
notholdingtheoperatorpresencebutton.
