Useonlyclean,freshdieselfuelorbiodieselfuels
withultralow(<15ppm)sulfurcontent.Theminimum
cetaneratingshouldbe40.Purchasefuelinquantities
thatcanbeusedwithin180daystoensurefuel
freshness.
Usesummergradedieselfuel(No.2-D)at
temperaturesabove-7°C(20°F)andwinter
grade(No.1-DorNo.1-D/2-Dblend)belowthat
temperature.Usingwintergradefuelatlower
temperaturesprovideslowerashpointandcoldow
characteristicswhichwilleasestartingandreduce
fuellterplugging.
Usingsummergradefuelabove-7°C(20°F)will
contributetowardlongerfuelpumplifeandincreased
powercomparedtowintergradefuel.
Important:Donotusekeroseneorgasoline
insteadofdieselfuel.Failuretoobservethis
cautionwilldamagetheengine.

explosionfromfuelcanburnyouandothers
andcandamageproperty.
•Fillthefueltankoutdoors,inanopenarea,
whentheengineiscold.Wipeupanyfuel
thatspills.
•Donotllthefueltankinsideanenclosed
trailer.
•Donotsmokewhenhandlingfuel,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwherefuel
fumesmaybeignitedbyaspark.
•Storefuelinanapprovedcontainerand
keepitoutofthereachofchildren.Donot
buymorethana30-daysupplyoffuel.
•Donotoperatewithoutentireexhaust
systeminplaceandinproperworking
condition.
WARNING
Fuelisharmfulorfatalifswallowed.
Long-termexposuretovaporscancause
seriousinjuryandillness.
•Avoidprolongedbreathingofvapors.
•Keepfaceawayfromnozzleandgastank
orconditioneropening.
•Keepfuelawayfromeyesandskin.
UsingBiodieselFuel
Thismachinecanalsouseabiodieselblendedfuel
ofuptoB20(20%biodiesel,80%petrodiesel).The
petrodieselportionmustbeultralowsulfur.Observe
thefollowingprecautions:
•Thebiodieselportionofthefuelmustmeet
specicationASTMD6751orEN14214.
•TheblendedfuelcompositionshouldmeetASTM
D975orEN590.
•Paintedsurfacesmaybedamagedbybiodiesel
blends.
•UseB5(biodieselcontentof5%)orlesserblends
incoldweather.
•Monitorseals,hoses,gasketsincontactwithfuel
astheymaybedegradedovertime.
•Fuellterpluggingmaybeexpectedforatime
afterconvertingtobiodieselblended.
•Contactyourdealerformoreinformationabout
biodiesel.
AddingFuel
Incertainconditionsduringfueling,staticelectricity
canbereleased,causingasparkwhichcanignitethe
fuelvapors.Areorexplosionfromfuelcanburnyou
andothersandcandamageproperty.
•Placefuelcontainersonthegroundawayfrom
yourvehiclebeforelling.
•Donotllfuelcontainersinsideavehicleoron
atruckortrailerbedbecauseinteriorcarpetsor
plastictruckbedlinersmayinsulatethecontainer
andslowthelossofanystaticcharge.
•Whenpractical,removeequipmentfromthetruck
ortrailer,andrefueltheequipmentwithitstracks
ontheground.
•Ifthisisnotpossible,thenrefuelsuchequipment
onatruckortrailerfromaportablecontainerrather
thanfromafueldispensernozzle.
•Ifyouareusingafueldispensernozzle,keep
thenozzleincontactwiththerimofthefueltank
orcontaineropeningatalltimesuntilfuelingis
complete.
