Maintenance
Beforestartingthemachineeachday,performthe
EachUse/DailyprocedureslistedintheMaintenance

StartingandStoppingthe
Engine
Tostarttheengine,completethefollowing:
1.Openthefronthood;refertoOpeningtheFront
Hood(page72).
2.TurntheBATTERY-DISCONNECTswitchto
theONposition;refertoBattery-Disconnect
Switch(page37).
3.Closeandlatchthehood.
4.Openthedoorontherearcontrolpanel.
5.TurntheignitionkeytotheRUNposition.
Note:IftheWait-to-Startlightilluminates,wait
untilitturnsoffbeforeproceeding.
6.TurntheignitionkeytotheSTARTpositionuntil
theenginestarts,thenreleaseit.
Tostoptheengine,turntheignitionkeytotheOFF
position.Inanemergency,youcanalsostopthe
engineandallprocessesbypressingtheENGINE-STOP
buttononeitherthedrivependantorthecontrolpanel.
DrivingtheMachine
1.Startthemachine,andensurethatthe
stake-downaugersareremovedfromthe
ground.
2.Ensurethattherearstabilizersareretractedand
thatthethrustframeisraisedoffthegroundin
thehorizontalposition.
3.Walkaroundthemachinetoensurethatnoone
isnearit.
Note:Ensurethatallbystandersareclearof
theareawhereyouwillbemovingthemachine.
4.Connectthedrivependanttotherightreceptacle
onthebottomoftherearcontrolpanel.
5.Withthependantinhand,walkatleast6feetto
thesideofthemachine.
Note:Besuretokeepthissafedistance
whenevermovingthemachine.
6.PressandholdtheOPERATORPRESENCEbutton
onthedrivependant.
7.UsetheSPEEDswitchonthependanttoincrease
ordecreasetheenginespeedasdesired.
8.SetthedesiredtravelspeedusingtheSPEED
switch.
9.Usethejoysticktomovethemachineasdesired.
