othersaremanuallyworkingonthedrillbitor
pipeinfrontofthemachine,theworkercould
getcaughtinthebitorpipe,causingserious
injury,amputation,ordeath.
•Enabletheexit-sidelockoutonthe
exit-side-lockouttransmitterbefore
approachingthedillbitorpipewhen
attachedtothemachine.Thiswilldisable
thedrillcarriage.
•Donotwearlooseclothingorjewelrywhen
workingonadrillbitorpipeattachedto
themachine.Tielonghairupandoutof
theway.
1.Usingtheexit-side-lockouttransmitter,enable
theexitsidelockout.
2.Removethedrillheadfromtheleadbar.
3.Doublecheckthereamertoensurethattheuid
portsarecleanandfreefromobstructions.
4.Installthereamerandswivelontotheendofthe
leadbarasdirectedbythereamermanufacturer.
5.Connecttheproducttothereamerusing
anappropriatepullingconnection;referto
yourAuthorizedT oroDealertoacquirethe
appropriatepullertomeetyourrequirements.
RemovingDrillPipes
1.Usingtheexit-side-lockouttransmitter,enable
theexitsidelockout.
2.Installadrill-pipewiperaroundthepipeandinto
theretainingbracketonthefrontofthemachine.
Note:Thiswillremovemostofthedirtand
mudfromthepipeasyoupullitbackintothe
machine,keepingthemachineclean.Contact

3.Disengagetheexit-sidelockoutandresetthe
system.
4.Beginrotatingthedrillspindleclockwiseand
slowlyretractthedrivecarriagetopullthepipe
backintothemachine.
5.Whenthejointbetweenthepipesiscentered
betweenthe2wrenches,thedrivecarriagewill
stop,andagreenlightwillilluminatebelowthe
sprayvalve.
6.Closethelowerwrench(stationarywrench)onto
thepipejoint.
Note:Thedrillinguidwillautomaticallyshut
offwhenyouclosethelowerwrench(stationary
wrench).
7.Rotatethepipecamtothedrillframe,extend
pipe-gripperarmstothepipe,andgripthepipe
tosupportit.
8.Closetheupperwrench(makeup/breakout
wrench)ontothepipejoint.
9.Rotatetheupperwrench(makeup/breakout
wrench)counterclockwiseuntilthejointis
loosened.
