beforeworkingnearbelts.
CheckingtheConditionoftheBelt
ServiceInterval:Every250hours
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,stopthe
engine,andremovetheignitionkey.
2.Openthefronthood.
3.Inspectthebeltforcuts,cracks,loosecords,
grease,oil,twisting,orsignsofabnormalwear
(Figure117).
Note:Replacethebeltifitisexcessivelyworn
ordamaged.

ServiceInterval:Every1,000hours
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,stopthe
engine,andremovetheignitionkey.
2.Openthefronthood.
3.Alignastraightedgeoverthedrivebeltand
acrossthepulleysasshowninFigure117.

thefanpulleyandthealternatorpulleyasshown
inFigure117.
Note:Therangeofbeltdeectionbetweenthe
straightedgeandthebeltshouldbe7to9mm
(9/32to11/32in),underaloadof10kg(22lb).

speciedrange,adjustthedrivebelttension;
