tensiontootight;refertoDecreasingtheChain
Tension(page19).
Ifthegapislargerthat76mm(3inch),thechain
tensiontooloose;refertoIncreasingtheChain
Tension(page20).
Note:Thechaintensionhasasignicantaffecton
theproductivityofthemachine;setthechaintension
aslooseaspossible.
DecreasingtheChainTension
WARNING
Ifyouremovethegreasettingfromtheboom
beforeyoureleasethepressureinthesystem,
personalinjurymayresult.
Beforeremovingthegreasetting,loosen(butdo
notremove)theplugontheoppositesideofthe
boom.

securethelockbarsandthesideplates(Figure32).

5.Torquethe4bolts(Figure32)thatsecurethelockbars
andthesideplatesto190to215N-m(140to159ft-lb).
