ReplacingtheFilters
1.Gentlyslidetheprimarylteroutoftheaircleaner
body(Figure28).Avoidknockingthelterintothe
sideofthebody.
2.Inspectthenewlter(s)fordamagebylookinginto
thelterwhileshiningabrightlightontheoutsideof
thelter.Holesinthelterwillappearasbrightspots.
Inspecttheelementfortears,anoilylm,ordamageto
therubberseal.Ifthelterisdamaged,donotuseit.
3.Cleantheairlterhousingwithamoistcloth.
4.Installthenewairlterelementensuringthatthe
elementisfullyseatedinsidetheairlterhousing.
5.Installthedustcapensuringthatthedustvalveonthe
bottomofthedustcapispointingtowardtheopening
oftheframe.
6.Tightentheclamps.
ServicingtheEngineOil
ServiceInterval:Aftertherst50hours—Changethe
engineoilandlter.
Every100hours—Changetheengineoil.
Every200hours—Changetheoillter.
Note:Changeoilandoilltermorefrequentlywhen
operatingconditionsareextremelydustyorsandy.
OilType:Detergentdieselengineoil(APIserviceCH-4or
higher)

1.Starttheengineandletitrunfor5minutes.This
warmstheoilsoitdrainsbetter.
2.Parkthemachinesothatthedrainsideisslightlylower
thantheoppositesidetoensurethattheoildrains
completely.
3.Loweranyattachments,settheparkingbrake,stopthe
engine,andremovethekey.
CAUTION
Componentswillbehotifthemachinehas
beenrunning.Ifyoutouchhotcomponents
youmaybeburned.
Allowthemachinetocoolbeforeperforming
maintenanceortouchingcomponentsunder
thehood.
4.Removethellercapandthedrainbolt(Figure30).

8.Slowlyaddadditionaloiltobringtheleveltotheupper
holeonthedipstick.
9.Replacethellcap.
