ServiceInterval:Every1,000hours
1.Pushthedrivebeltwithyourthumbintheareashown
tocheckthetension(
Figure39).
Note:Thedeectionshouldbebetween7to9mm
(0.28to0.35inch)underloadof10kg(22lbs).
Note:Ifthedeectionislessthan7mm(0.28inch)
ormorethan9mm(0.35inch),adjustthetension.

ServiceInterval:Every4,000hours—Replacethealternator
drivebelt.
1.Loosenthepivotbolts,theadjustingbolt,andmovethe
alternatortowardtheenginetoloosenthebelttension.
2.Removethedrivebeltandinstallthenewdrivebelt.
3.Adjustthebelttension.

Thefactoryadjuststhecontrolsbeforeshippingthemachine
However,aftermanyhoursofuse,youmayneedtoadjust
thecontrols.
Important:Toadjustthecontrolsproperly,complete
eachprocedureintheorderlisted.
CheckingtheParkingBrake
MovetheparkingbrakelevertotheOnposition.Ifthereis
littleornoresistance,completethefollowingprocedure:
1.Parkthemachineonaatsurface,lowerany
attachments,stoptheengine,andremovethekey.
2.PuttheparkingbrakeintheOffposition.
3.Rotatethehandleoftheparkingbrakelever2or3
timesclockwise.
4.Applytheparkingbrake.
Iftherewasresistance,theadjustmentiscorrect.
Iftherewaslittleornoresistance,seean
AuthorizedToroServiceDealer.
AdjustingtheCreepControl
Linkage
1.Removetheaccesspanelfromtherightsideofthe
machine.
2.Connectaspringscaleundertheknobofthecreep
controllever.Turntheadjustmentnutuntilthescale
shows13.61to22.68kgf(30to50lbf)tomovethe
lever(Figure40).
