8.Slowlyaddadditionaloiltobringtheleveltotheupper
holeonthedipstick.
9.Replacethellcap.
ChangingtheOilFilter
1.Draintheoilfromtheengine;refertoChangingthe
Oil(page22).
2.Placeashallowpanorragundertheltertocatchthe
oil.
3.Removetheoldlter(Figure25)andwipethesurface
ofthegasketsealonthelterhead.

4.Applyathinlayerofcleanoiltothegasketsealofthe
newoillter.
5.Applyathincoatofthecleanoilofthepropertype
throughthecenterholeofthelter.
6.Allow2minutesfortheoiltobeabsorbedbythelter
material,thenpouroffanyexcessoil.
7.Installthereplacementoilltertothelteradapter.
Turntheoillterclockwiseuntiltherubbergasket
contactsthelteradapter,thentightenthelteran
additional1/2turn.
8.Starttheengineandletitrunfor30seconds.
9.Stoptheengineandletthemachinecool.
10.Checktheengineoillevel;refertoCheckingtheEngine
OilLevel(page22).
11.Fillthecrankcasewiththepropertypeofnewoil;refer
toCheckingtheEngineOilLevel(page22).
