6.Slowlylowerthetrenchertothegroundsothatthe
boomandchainareparalleltotheground.
7.Movethetrenchercontrollevertothetrenchposition.
8.Slowlymovetheattachmentcontrollevertolowerthe
boomtothenecessarydepth.
9.Releasetheparkingbrake.
10.Movethecreepcontrollevertothereverseposition.
11.Ensurethatallpartsofthetrencherarefunctioning
correctly.
12.Slowlymovethetractionunitrearwardtoextendthe
trench.
Note:Ifyoumovetoofast,thetrencherwillstall.Ifit
stalls,raiseitslightly,slowlydriveforward,orreverse
thechaindirectionmomentarily.
13.Whennishedwiththetrenchoperation,movethe
creepcontrollevertotheneutralpositionandslowly
movetheattachmentcontrollevertotheraiseposition
untiltheboomisoutofthetrench.
14.Movethetrenchercontrollevertothestopposition.
15.Raisetheboomtothetransportposition.
16.Applytheparkingbrake.
17.Movethethrottletotheidleposition,stoptheengine,
andremovethekey.
OperatingTips
•Cleantheareaoftrash,branches,androcksbefore
diggingtopreventdamagetotheequipment.
•Alwaysbegindiggingwiththeslowestgroundspeed
possible.Increasethespeedifconditionsallowforsafe
operation.
•Alwaysusefullthrottle(maximumenginespeed)when
trenching.
•Alwaystrenchbackwards(i.e.,inreverse).
•Trenchata45to60-degreeangleforbestresults.
•Ifthetrencherbindsinthesoil,stopthemachineand
reversethechaindirection.Oncethechainisloose,
resumeforwardchainoperationandcontinuetrenching.
•Ifyouneedthenishedtrenchtobecleanerthanwhatis
possiblewiththetrencher,youcanpurchaseacrumber
fromyourAuthorizedToroDealer.Thecrumbermounts
ontothetrencherandscrapesthetrenchcleanasyourun
thetrencher.
•Toimprovethequalityoftrencheslessthan61cm(24
inches)deep,usea61cm(24-inch)boomonthetrencher.
